curved text

I wish to type to a curve or circle coverted to editable shape. Fair enough I can do that but wish to have the curved text without curved line or circle can I get rid of either and how do I do it. 2nd question I wish to shrink the text beyond size 8 font maybe size 6. I have sent the circle to the forum to give you an idea . It's actually for a clock face text is "Made in Germany"

Norman,
Hold down the ctrl key and click on just the line, then click to make the line invisible. For the font size, just type in the number 6 in the font size tool bar.
