Default How to save as a .ps file

I wish to save the attached advert for Yellow Pages in .ps format ( Their preferred format). Could someone kindly tell me how to that.
I attempted eps but half of the ad is missing.
An alternative would be TIFF but it must be 600dpi and the xara maximum seems to be 300dpi

I think I'm correct in saying that to export at 600 dpi, just type the 600 into the dropdown window.

Yes, as Egg said 600dpi is fine. Xara packaging is done with 600dpi TIFF files. But that's playing it safe... 300dpi would give you just as good print out. We just had some A0 posters done at 300dpi and the result is great.
I'd start a revolution, if I could get up in the morning.

    First convert texts in qurves/outlines!!!

to get PS format you need from instaled Adobe postcript printer, saving to PS format is just printing to file with this postcript printer

hare is problem 2... your bitmap is in 24Bit RGB, for ofset printing you need from 32bit CMYK bitmap

here is problem 3... Xara didnt support CMYK bitmaps in her files....

decision... export like PDF or CMX, open in Corel or Illustrator and convert foto in 32bit CMYK, then print to file with postcript printer

lamers decision, export like Xara CMYK tif on 300-600 dpi and sent ....

    eventual problems:
-check that your texts are in Black only
-if you didnt use CMYK template, your colors will shift, black in text will be some composite black (or will be exported to HSV color model), other colors like red will go to ~orange (becouse they so will be exported to HSV color model) etc.....

-for example eventual problem if you export all like tiff - if you use small fonts lets say 4-5-6-7-8pt exporting to tiff and rasterizing them and all thin lines will dramatically reduce the quality of print
-for colors in exported CMYK tiff see above...

Decision 2.... voila reworked files in atachment
    PS file in ZIP
PDF file is riped PS file for preview

    Best Regards

Thank you for your assistance which is much appreciated.
Each newspaper, magazine or printer seems to prefer a differant format which makes life a little complicated for someone like me.

You might see if they can accept a PDF file. This is one of the best ways to submit files for printing. And Xtreme can now export to PDF.

I have been making good use of PDF files since their introduction with Xtreme but in this case Yellow Pages are specific in that they require .ps .tiff or .eps only.
The PDF export facility in Xtreme is a real boon for me which will become even more useful when multiple page PDF export become a reality.

I am afraid I do not have Adobe Acrobat as the cost here in the UK is a whopping $815 or in Sterling £464
At those kind of prices I will never own that particular piece of software.
