No, I did convert to editable shapes. This is very mysterious: when I opened the drawing again, I could change its color and line thickness. Anybody an idea how this is possible, a bug in Xara 1.0?

Perhaps you could take the mould off, make your changes, and reapply the mould? If you press the 'Copy' button before removing and the 'Paste' button [on the mould toolbar] after reapplying, the same distortion should be reapplied.

Yes, same thing happens here on XaraX 1.1

If you covert the new mold to editable shapes, ungroup and break the shapes apart, you'll find that it is built up of many small shapes forming the outlines of the original shapes.
Undo back to the mold and save. Reopen and perform all the steps once again and you'll this time find that it is built up of 9 closed shapes just as you would have expected in the firts place. Bug, glitch or feature???

    Hi

Without being an expert on Xara, it sounds to me as you've used "Convert line to shape" instead of "Convert to editable shapes".
It's just a wild guess but zoom in very close to one of the lines and change to wireframe mode. Aren't there two parallel lines instead of just one single?

If I copy the mold and paste again, the same thing happens; the fill dissappears and the line seems to become the shape and isn't editable as line. Reopening the drawing sets things to normal.

I can confirm that the same thing happens on my system.

The grouped shapes did not show at all even in wire frame mode. Added a line width of 1pt and it showed up - but still not showing in wireframe mode.

    Jolande,

Can you post the XAR file so others can check if the same thing happens.
