Looking for feedback

Just wanted to get feedback on a draft of a site I'm putting together for a friend of mine.

I made it completely with Xara X and built it in Notepad.

Just a link.

Right now it's just the first splash page with no links. I specifically wanted to hear from those who don't have a broadband connection. Let me know if it takes too long to load.

I really like the look and the execution. If I am critical of anything it is the blue colour used. I find it 'clashes' with the other colours and seems to attract the eye excessively. That really is a minor complaint. I particularly like the composition of the montage. It makes me want to check out more of the site. You can't ask much more of a splash page [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]

I like the photo grouping. Your alt text on "Weights" doesn't tell me what it is...but on "SHOOT!" you mention it's a short film. I like the blue...looking forward to seeing more.

I like the simplicity of the layout. Is it a resume site? The purpose of the site is unclear to me.

Notepad is one of my favorite editors, along with vi! ;-)
