Okay, so I took the plunge and spent all last night goofing with Wings. But I could not finish all of the weiner, so I moved the sub-D box into Maya, and polished it off with a freeform deformation of the bun and a mustard squiggle. Then I used Maya's default renderer.
The background of the flowing-flag-like stripes was done entirely in XARA, as was the ting "g" signature.
Sorry I didn't do a snap of the WIP, but I really wanted to finishe the sucker!
