Here is a series of photos from the lunar eclipse from the other night. It clouded over towards the end. I combined the photos in XaraX...of course.

    Very Cool Collage Dale,

Did you use transparency or did you slice all those moon shots?

    Thanks John.
I sliced all of the moons to combine them this time.

Must have taken a long time to slice them all if you cut them close. Still a fine job.

It really didn't take that long once I figured out how I was going to do it. I didn't slice them close at all. I just made a circle a little bigger than the moon and then began slicing them out. I didn't worry about the extra around the edges. I made a big rectangle and used the Color Picker to fill it with a color from one of the photo's background. I didn't find any of the sliced moons that showed any edges against the background. They aren't even feathered...maybe something would show up if it was real big. I then made a curve to use as a guide to place them on. Just something to resemble the ascension of the moon during the whole process. Really, the hardest part of the project was taking the photos.

Very cool... I like it even more once you explained your technique. it looks like a repeated exposure.

Great collage, Dale! I wish we could have seen the eclipse here, but it was overcaste.
    Thanks,
    Judi
