    Hi everyone! I'm new here and I thought I'd post how I use Xara. I'm a professional quilter and all of my custom made wall hangings are designed in Xara. From my finished design, I duplicate each piece and add the seam allowance very easily with the contour tool, then I print out all of the templates. I also scan in whatever fabrics I'm going to use to make a new fill gallery for each project. By doing this, I can see exactly what the finished quilt will look like before I cut anything. Here are a few pictures plus the Xara file for this quilt.

    Hello Michelle,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics! Beautiful quilts you have there. I attempted a quilt once... Gave up mighty quick. Do you machine stich or hand stich your quilts?

    Yes John,
    That may be the case, but the original jpg was 49Kb, the Flash image (with the amimation is 16Kb) and a traced image at 16 colours is 64Kb without trying to grab certain parts for animation, and crap at that.
