    The only question - how to gide that black circle with white X?

    I use some CSS in the Page HTML code (head):
    <style>
    img.xr_ap {
    width: 0px;
    height: 0px;
    cursor: pointer;
    }

    gwpriester, you've fogot to add link "popup:close" to the red square button!

    In fact, I just looked, there was a screen capture of the Names dialog with popup:close on the layer. And it works.

    That said, I just learned that if popup:close is added as a Link instead of a Name the close button becomes interactive. So there you go.
