Xara WD does not want you to deform objects and text by squashing. Think it is something to do with browsers not coping well with it.

Text should not be deformed that way, according to the boss at Xara, presumably the same goes for objects. Perhaps somebody with more knowledge of the subject [not difficult!] will explain further
