As we would get 4-6 feet of snow in the winter, this made a heck of a walking path for us. It also created massive berms on each side of the road. Often enough, moose and bear would get onto the road and not really like to get off.

We (with at least one son at the beginning, but we had two children while we lived there and all of them would be with us) would often have gone to the store for groceries and stopped by friends' houses on the way home to have a visit. Which means that we would be walking up the road to the house at 9 or 10 at night. The moose were worse than the bears. We would sometimes have to sacrifice a few oranges or apples to encourage them to get off the road, over the 10 or 12 foot high berms.

    Ah, those were the days.

Interesting Gare. Was that before you got into the Art field? I ask because of the reference to the Cat.

    Larry, that was me. Mike...

Yes, I logged up there in Idaho from 1977 to 1989, when I started writing and illustrating technical manuals. A definite switch in livelihoods.

    Default Mr. Sun

This is just a very simple composition, using colors for visual contrast, a typical design of a "summer sun" or a calendar sun, and a stroke I designed in Xara 11.

    Default Parfum

I needed a drawing I could recolor in a jiffy, so I used a model for reference and then sort of reinterpreted it, because the render wasn't exactly what I wanted.
