The error message you posted says it's looking to a network directory.
Are you installing onto the same computer as the install file is located?
What size is the install file (MB)?

Thanks all - requested a refund which has been processed. I explained the issues I was having, but they didn't even try to help, and have just gone ahead with the refund
Think I may have had a lucky escape. Will look elsewhere for a WYSIWIG editor or just learn Joomla/Wordpress.
good luck

May I suggest you download the trial and when offered, choose a different Install Folder.
I suspect your WIX_DIR_COMMENT_DOCUMENTS system variable on your machine has been deleted at some point. Consequently, the Xara Web Designer Premium does not know where to be installed to.

it would seem the sensible way forward, or on another computer, or using a sandboxing capable installation tool such as acronis true image... but either way simply installing the trial before purchase is usually a good thing to do....

OK, convinced it wasn't the software at fault, and was my laptop, I have completely re-installed Windows 10 (it was long overdue to be honest).
The software now installs! I have zero idea what the problem was, but...but....
It doesn't scale to a 4K screen!
I tried adjusting the DPI settings to be compatible, but the toolbar and icons are TINY!
Does this "pro" software really not scale to 4K DPI?
I have a 17" 4K laptop, and this sort of thing should really not be a problem in 2019...
Any ideas?
I have trialled this software on a 1080p screen, and I like it, but on my 4K screen, it is 'blurry', and I wouldn't be comfortable using it.
This is clearly the best WYSIWYG on the market, so this is a real blow to me.
