Who's invoking my name at this time in the morning???
The only thing that comes to mind without any more info to work with is the Show Images As Placeholders options. But, I can't say where that option is, just a vague memory of it being there.
How is this tick being imported? Drag n drop? Content Catalogue? Copy n paste directly from a webpage? Would OP provide a few more details please?
Acorn - installed Xara software: Cloud+/Pro+ and most others back through time (to CC's Artworks). Contact for technical remediation/consultancy for your web designs.

I instantly went with the correct version of the word...err...the 'correct' tick...I mean, meaning correct. Too early need coffee.
Tick a correct answer. British tick. Correct symbol.
I just love fly-by Postings.

You are hilarious. It was a tick symbol I downloaded from the Xara symbol set and it must be FontAwesome because I keep getting a warning which I should read next time it comes up.
I managed to create a tick (for artistic reasons) using Webbings 2 font instead which I'm happy with.
Over here, we have bandicoots just brimming with ticks, yuck.
Thanks everyone.
Lisa.
Lisa - Could you verify where over here is (which side of the pond) so that we know if the tick to which you refer is a ' or a check mark as Egg has suggested.

Popping on my Sherlock hat...Bandicoots (Bilbies) are endemic to Australia and PNG, so we can safely assume that Lisa is living in the land of plenty and probably likes Vegemite. Acorn also geo tracked Lisa to Aus, and I have yet to see Acorn stumble.
Although it's true Lisa could have emigrated from elsewhere, I feel it's safe to deduce the aforementioned tick is is of the pointy mathematical persuasion rather than the curvy literal variety based on the Bandicoot reference. A non Aussie would have gone straight for Kangaroo, Koala or drop bear species.
Ah yes, Sidney it appears. Odd, one small change in the IP and Lisa is living in Paris. Or Lisa might be using a VPN in which case she could very well be on my side of the pond in which case I was correct. But probably not.
