Default Logo Design ($ Award for Assistance)

Good afternoon all. I am just starting a small business in Bowling Green, KY and am looking for some help with a logo for the business. After looking around here it seems that all of you have much more artistic talent then I possess. So I decided to ask if anyone would be interested in fixing me up with a logo. Anyone is welcome to give it a shot, and I will award $50 to the one that I keep for the business. (everyone accepts paypal, Right?) This would be much appreciated, and you are all welcome to keep anything you draw for portfolios and such.

The business is a Photography Stuidio working mainly for family and individual portraits. The name is A.G. Miller Studios.

E-mail me at the link below with questions, comments, flames, or submissions.

great that you offer a compensation for the one who will develop a logo for your biz.

However, I am convinced you meant US$ 500 instead of US$ 50, right? For US$ 50 you should go to eworks and collect lowest bids on this job, really. Then you will get what you paid for.

If you are serious and value the artists work of the forum members here, you should value their work as you do value your own creative work - and this value definitely doesn't start at US$ 50. Or are you doing high quality portraits for 5 cents including 10 prints???

    See what I mean?

    Jens

I suggested that Edward post to this conference as a challenge as he is just starting up his company and does not have a lot of money for a logo.

I also told him how nice and helpful everyone is especially when a small amount of money is involved. Or I am sure if you are in Edwards neighborhood, he would be more than happy to exchange the logo for a lovely portrait.

And it has been pretty quiet in here lately and I figured we could use a challenge.

    SO BE NICE, EH?

Since nobody else has had a go yet, I thought I'd give it a try.
I don't really know what sort of thing you have in mind, but I thought something that looks traditional and "established" might do. How about this?

It looks good to me =) My intention is to see where everyone goes with this logo out of imagination. My best hope is to see a little of everything here, some colorful, some black and white, etc.. I really appreciate any attempt at all and (as Jens made clear earlier) I do realize that your work is worth more than $50 bucks. And I'll be glad to give anyone here a free portrait package if they are ever in town Just have fun with it, and know that I am glad for anyone's assistance here.

I should have mentioned in my original post too that the main use for this logo would probably be a business sign, business cards, and letterhead. In case that makes any difference in the creation.

    Thank!!

I think that 50 dollars is a fair price for a logo design. I will try to come up with some and post them here.

    Hi Shane,

Bowling Green is just up the road a bit from where I work in Portland TN. So, we are practically neighbors. As I think of some ideas, I'll post them here.

    Here's the first.
