I'm just learning PI 7. One of the tutorials suggests using edge frmaes with B&W pictures. I converted a color JPEG to greyscale, but now I find that the Frames and Shadows option is no longer available. What gives ?
Thanks,
Stella

Well, this is actually an easy one... convert it back to 24bit, or copy and paste it into a 24bit canvas, which ever, apply your effect, in this case the frame, and then convert to greyscale... save as...

Thanks. That worked great !
An alternative to converting your image to grayscale then turning it back to a True Color image is to use Effect, Special, Monochrome. That will turn your image into what looks like grayscale, but it will retain all of its True Color properties.

Thanks to you too, Stephanie. That approach also worked nicely.
I'm amazed at all the stuff you can do with this program. As a beginner, I find it amazing how much I can do - and I'm just starting to scratch the surface !!
