Ummm......
I went to the website... and ...I looked at their release about 8.0... and I looked for something that showed that it was in any sense different from series 7....and I am probably really stupid...BUT
WHAT is it that 8.0 has that 7 series did not, and what is it that is really useful, really cool, really product, really etc.?
You have been enthusing about it for a while, so please tell me.
I am sure there would not be a new version without good reason. I just did not notice what it was.

for me is the introduction of batch processing. One filter that I want to use a lot is just not recognised by DebabeliserPro 5 and I've been staying away from the costly PhotoShop. So finally to have this feature alone makes the upgrade worth my while but not everyone else's.
There are other new features and you may want to read Dave Huss's review at

A fabulous new feature of PSP8 is the Background Eraser. It provides for quick removal of backgrounds in many images, saving a lot of time and trouble.

From a review I read it is supposed to be a lot better as far as memory goes. With multiple layers version 7 bogged down but 8 is supposed to really improve in this area. A new interface also helps as well as a few new tools here and there. I hope no one minds me adding this link to the review I read. It is towards the bottom of the page. http://www.graphics.com/modules.php?...ticle&artid=51
