Wolfgang or Egg,
Thanks again for all the help.
I think both of you are correct
that the problem lies in VirtualPC.
Could either one of you attach
the Xara 3D files you created
for me? It would be appreciated

I attach a Xara3D file.
Could you please use the "post reply" button instead of the "new topic", as you are present. It makes it very difficult to follow your posts as they are new topics each time ;-)

Thanks Egg and sorry again about working the forum correctly. I think I've got it down now!
Could either of you please attach the .xar file
you created from my eps. I'm still having problems saving .xar files-program seems to stop responding about half way through saving process.
All your help and attachments are greatly appreciated.

Here you go Iceman, one xar file.
Could you visit the XaraX forum, as someone was interested in using XaraX under emulation, as you are.

Everything is working perfectly now.
I've been able to create & save .xar files, import them into Xara 3D and export my final files as animated gifs. Sorry for bothering
both of you so much. All my problems came
from long saving times. Thanks again!!!
*Note: For all Mac users emulating Xara X and Xara 3D in Virtual PC, saving files could take
as long as 5-10 minutes.

It was a pleasure.
5 to 10 minutes to save a 9Kb file seems extremely excessive. Perhaps Apple or the program vendors could help you on this issue.

Hello Iceman,
My name is Frank Edwards and I'm a new member. I couldn't find an e-mail address for you, hence this open reply.
Could you please drop me a couple of lines telling me of the usability (or otherwise) of XaraX on the Apple platform? I will shortly be in the market for a second-hand laptop for travelling and I'm considering obtaining an iBook. But there would not be much point if I can't use XaraX on it.
Many thanks,
Frank
