Gary, I think perhaps you were interested by the "bump" technique (now I have some new ideas about how to do that).
And Judy, didn't you try to suspend little opened bags of human hairs (male, because of not too much cosmetics on them) around your garden. It seems this is one of the best tricks to avoid problems with deers! But be careful; the acidity of hair's fat "eats" some plastic bags!
