Reading your post, and without looking at your backgrounds for fear of doing homework beyond the call of duty (hehe) .... all I can say is...

there are as many subjects/categories/etc. as there are individual concepts thought upon... trick is to go with with the ideas which fit in with the trends and/or which build upon them as well, strive for new perspectives and creation of new event primitives ( objects designed specifically to reflect upon scheduled events and can be tweaked for nexts years event )...

and ...go with it...

What ever attracts the client/target audience at the time while holding a theme/thread to the company/idenity responcible for bringing these messages their way..etc...etc [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
