I am looking at Photoimpact, and i was wondering if it has a "mask" feature, or what ever it may be called in PI? I think it is called "Mask" in other programs, where you can select a portion of an image by color, or some other criteria. thanks for your time,

Yes, you can mask an entire image or an object in PI. Then you can paint out what you don't want in grayscale with the Paintbrush. Alternatively, you can make an object and edit its Properties to make certain colors transparent. In PI8 it's also possible to make selections on objects.
