    very nice work John...

    and thank you for the link, very good tutorial

    Looking at this again I can't help but to feel that the left side of the book and on the table top surface in that area, that the shadowing should be darker somewhat, as the light source looks rather short to create such a bright area... I really like the way the light casts across the book cover in general.. very cool effect

    Great work on the tutorial. The tutorial is a good way to know how the various tools work. But do not under estimate the power of Wings. Did this quickie under 15 min. with Wings. I love this program more and more...

    Hi Gidgit the reason y the shading is so light is because I have multiple lights around the book, the first time I rendered the image the sides where so dark I couldn't see any of it
    , the light in the glass isn't the main light source, there is a light in the center above the book that casts the shadow.
