    I found some isometric drawing projects and examples. I did something a little challenging—I created models from the 2D information.

    Then I posed the models, rendered them and then traced them off in Xara for the sake of resolution-independence. I also gained cues for shadows because the tutorial illustration had none, nor lighting.

    It's Hallowe'en soon, and I thought I'd do something offbeat.

    Although I own a copy of Painter, I found it easier to get a rough texture throughout using ArtRage, which has in recent versions, increased its resolution for bigger digital paintings.
