Default Trying to bold Insula Font

    Hi Folks,

Long time since I've posted here.

I'm using the Insula font on a poster and can't seem to make it bold within Xara. I'm wondering if there is a way to do this within Xara that I'm not seeing. When I try to bold it, I get an error message.

Thanks for any help that can be offered......

that means you do not have a bold varient of that font installed - older versions of xara would fudge this, but recent ones will only use actual installed varients, so that the program does not make unauthorised changes to a font

so you are not doing anything wrong

you could look to see if there is a bold varient you could download...

just had a look - if this is the font:

    https://www.dafont.com/insula.font

then it looks 'bold' already to me, I think anymore and it would look clunky; but i'm no expert typographer...

Thanks, I have checked and there doesn't seem to be a 'bold' variant so thought I'd ask here.

Also, that is the correct font and I also had checked that so I guess it's my version of Xara which is Designer Pro X11.
