Bounding Box on imported bigmaps

I don't know if am confused or what but I remember in older versions of Xara X etc. that when you would drag the handles on any image bitmap or vector that the bounding box border would move until you aligned with a guide either vertical or horizontal. Now when I want to enlarge an image it doesn't show the bounding box expanding till it actually touch one of the guides and then the object would snap to the guides. In my Latest Version of Xara Designer Pro X 19.0.1.65946 that doesn't happen. Did I accidentally turn something off? Thanks for any and all advice.

try double clicking the live drag button on the right of the status bar at the bottom of the UI [box-with-arrow icon]:
