Default That time of the year again - Halloween

    So here's my effort.
The witch currently is not my work but a trace of an online bitmap. If I go further I'll draw my own witch.

    Egg,

I really like this. Everything appears to work very well.

Thanks Egg, I've just tried the same, turning my hand to anime.js:

anime.js - Haloween.xar - I did spell Halloween correctly in the file itself! Although even that should have an apostrophe: Hallowe'en.

I threw in enough CSS manipulation in the Page Body for anyone to tweak away the day.
I didn't want to handle SVG pathing so I just ran the lettering through a wholly random looping of the ever-changing CSS values.
I watched it long enough to get the witch fly through the O!

    A working demo: https://shared.xara.com/lm87SdIcxQ

    Thank you for the idea.

Great stuff Acorn. It appears to have no repeat, changing endlessly whilst playing. It's also not as power hungry as mine. Mine goes into High or Very High power usage although it plays well on all my mobile devices too. This was created in XDPro+ and SVGator. The text used tweening so there's a lot of node repositioning between frames whilst running, although there's only three key-frames.

Those are neat! I have no idea how to that kind of thing with Xara.

    BTW, Happy Halloween to all!

Thank you Egg, the beauty of anime.js is it is working on the Xara design directly so this one has 10 animations at any one time. Also if you move off the page, the animation automatically pauses. On my PC the browser running load is 12% but only 0.2% paused. Keeps the fans off.

I enjoyed adding a Contour to the witch as it makes her wraith-like against the sky but in your face over the lettering.
Each loop, recalculates the movements afresh.

If you click the 'nugget' tag, there are a number of Threads starting 'anime.js...'.
These cover the documentation and process to set up your own. Change mine and experiment.
