Technically, ISO 216 states A0 is 1m2. That sides are in ratio 1:√2 (1:1.4142). That sides are rounded down to the nearest mm. That the areas A(n) and 2A(n+1) are the same with the higher index's sides rounded down so the two smaller sheets always fit within the single larger one.
A0 is 841 x 1189mm (0.999949m2). A5 is 148 x 210mm, which is smaller that the perfect ratio.
32 sheets of A5 weight the same as one A0.
80gsm paper means one A5 sheet weights 2.5g.
ISO 216 indicates actual dimensions around A5 have a tolerance of ±2mm.
So you could be a purist and start with 1m2 and halve areas for each paper size down or take the 210mm and divide by root 2 or its approximation and get 148.49.
Xara has played safe by allowing 148.00 to 148.99mm to be legitimate values for A5's shorter side with 209.51 to 210.50mm for the longer side.
However, it was probably your printer saying it can't print to the edge.
