Not a single Xara employee has visited these Threads unless they are not signing in to do so.
For a company that proclaims TG is their go-to "Online forum" [Help > More [app] > Online forum] and fails to engage is reprehensible.
To waste three months does not make your Problem go away; hiding is not a solution.
The tl:dr of this Issue:
- A single shape has an Image Filename applied. Regardless of Effects applied after this, the same Image Filename should be rendered. Bug - You apply an arbitrary number affix that changes on where the design has been closed and re-opened.
- Clones of the same shape render with one Image Filename. Scale any Clone. Bug - You create an affixed additional file. Your underlying code is CSS, applying different Width/ Height and transforms (scaling, rounding, shadows); none of these require another file.
- Custom bullets fail dramatically. Bug - Your internal database loses filename references and applies the wrong name to the wrong image as well as affixing lots of numbers.
- Bug - Placing a shape on non-integer co-ordinates results in an affixed additional file.
Clearly, you have a fundamental design failure that probably precedes the Image Filenaming Feature but Huh!
328 images generated for a SmartTable:
Facebook alone has 40 images (fb+fb[1..9].webp|.png) where one Font Awesome symbol or one SVG would do.
20 separate image fetches. Won't Google web core Vitals be pleased!
When I am trying to deliver professional websites, I am being floundered by this sloppiness.
It is not just the extra files, it is the randomness and having to second-guess what it actually rendered; this is destroying or forcing code scripts and CSS coding to new heights and absurdity.
