Xara Designer Pro+ 21.1.0.61938 SL x64 Apr 21 2021 - Cannot save any Template

Dear Xara Cloud...

I was assured that the WebP option was by default Off.
I was also told that Templates stored this setting so If I had on with WebP On then a new document from this Template would retain the setting.

Bug - My Default Template was created before this version yet it opens with WebP On. The Xara-supplied Templates are all Off.
Some of my custom Templates are also pre-version but are again set On.

No matter, I'll just set them to Off and Save as Template again.

Bug - I am unable to Update or Save a new Template.

Hi,

When you say some of your custom templates, does that mean that some did not have it turned on? (i.e. it doesn't affect all your templates)? Do you have a copy of a template from before the 21.1 update so we can take a look?

The issue with saving has been logged and is being investigated by the developers.

My Web page Pastel 1440 px (WXGA+).xar
This always opens with WebP Set On: Web page Pastel 1440 px (WXGA+).xar. Its Save Date is 14 January 2021.

I now also find if I use a WebP On Template, untick that and save & close, when I reload, it resets to WebP On.
It happens it I close and re-open the application.
It happens it I Discard All and set WebP Off.
When I open the file with WebP set Off, the XDA re-apply WebP On.

Acorn I can confirm on your attached xar file no matter how often I uncheck the include WebP and save on reopening this feature is checked once again.

This isn't the case re Retina check-box. It remains as set when saving.

I have saved a .XAR without WebP ticked (Off)
I then copied it into the Templates Cache.

Both the original and a new file from the freshly-minted Template have WebP forced back On.

At least I have a path to updating and saving new templates with the last caveat.
