Hi All,
Recently I was struggling with cmyk issues while exporting bitmaps from Xara.
Which bitmap format produce more accurate colors when exported from Xara
to convert later in cmyk?
Thanks in advance!

The only CMYK option, I think, is TIFF and to be honest, it's not that great. I use Photoshop for basically two functions: 1) To convert an RGB image to CMYK and 2) To convert an RGB image to Grayscale.
You can export your image as PDF/X for Commercial Printing and the image will be converted to CMYK in the process.

Now I see. TIFF images really export accurate cmyk colors.
Exporting images as Photoshop for cmyk conversion
do not produce results as accurate as TIFF export.
I will test exporting to PDF/X.
Thanks a lot for your answer!

Keep in mind that there is a big difference between RGB and CMYK. RGB is capable of producing a wider universe of saturated colors. When you convert to CMYK a lot of this vibrancy is lost. This will happen even when you convert in Photoshop.
In Xara you can simulate CMYK by going to Window > Show Printer Colors > Simulate Print Colors.
