    Here's an example of what I am complaining about above.

    I select the two eye shapes and Designer Pro+ adds a rectangular bounding box which covers the edges of the eyeballs and makes it very difficult to reposition. Selecting a line is even worse.

    In Designer Pro X the bounding box handles are out of the way and I can see what I am doing.

    I can see merit in both options - perhaps if there was an option to apply transparency to the handles that might help ?

    Back again on this. The pain continues. Got Photo and Graphic Designer a month ago, and can't reset the image handles as I was able to do before with your help, see fixes below. Doesn't seem to be a Regedit entry for P&GD...

    Your example is interesting to me. The box line assists me in edge-to-edge alignment. Their absence, for me, seems imprecise. I am not an artist so I "engineer" my art. Interesting.

    @Dan

    interesting indeed as I would say the opposite

    if I want precise edge to edge alignment i use snap

    if I am aligning one object to another the blue/white box just gets in the way visually

    @jon404

    worth checking you are looking at the correct xara version tree in regetit ?

    assuming photo and graphic designer 18, then registry entry for P&G should be in:

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Xara\Xtreme x64\18\Options\Selector Tool

    Long time no see everybody. I have recently upgraded from x11 to x18 and was quite shocked by the changes. Especially by the thick handles and object borders. It almost looked like kid tool. I wonder if using 4k monitor would make them look more decent ;-). Anyway thanx for the hint Eva-K, editing registry helped a bit, althought the handling icons look a bit out of place with the thin outline around object. This or that, I'm glad I can now switch the new style on and off easily.
