I have done dozens of Yin & yang stereograms. It's a graphic that really lends itself to 3D treatments.
This is one of my favorites.

Wow!
Strange but just for a few seconds I had a moment when everything reversed and the outer area went to the very back giving even more depth. I’ve tried quite a few times again but can repeat it. Everything was crystal clear and I could look at it completely naturally. Never had that happen before. Is that a secret intention with the Yin & Yang Design?

very impressive that one Gary

Really nice one and popped out right away.
Question though: I seem to see a small gap -- and therefore the background -- between the lower left curves of the yin and yang.
the axes of the image are not aligned to the cardinal points [it's 'tilted'] - that could explain it ?

Jonopen - You slipped into cross eyed viewing which is why everything was reversed. All my images are designed for parallel viewing but I find I see more depth if I look with cross eyes.
Boy - When there is an overlap of something going behind another object there can appear to be a gap.

I get it. Funny thing that the gap doesn't show on the upper curve.
which is why I think it [the base shape] is, intentionally or otherwise, tilted, which could cause this POV

The depth of field is amazing!
