The advertisement really irritates me, though.
Assuming that I'm correct, that is.
Is there really a screen protector on the back of the phone?!

No, because the screen is on the front!
It's just fancy packaging to keep the phone pristine in transit and it's known that people like that experience of unwrapping their Apple kit with that kind of experience.
Apple takes great care about packaging and is also famous for the boxes that are designed to slide apart slowly.
Apple kit does not come with a screen protector.
Not sure why it's irritating.

All along, I have mis-reading "protector" as 'projector'.

[He sighs] Pearls before swine.
A lot of products with shiny surfaces have a light transparent removable film to protect the surface. This is nothing new.
What would be irritating would be if there was no surface protection and the surface got scratched before the phone was out of the box.
But please, do not be distracted by the shiny coin. Aside from the fact I plan to buy one of these to replace Mary's old SE, in Red, I thought the creative way the phone was introduced was breakthrough use of the existing browser technology. Perhaps because it was so well done it went unnoticed?
Apple has historically had the best and most innovative product and package design and their advertising has always been the best in the industry.

Absolutely.
It is very well done.
Apple advertising has always been amazing - so much so that now and again I see some competitor advert and when it starts I expect Apple because they've used some of the techniques used by Apple previously.
The SE 2020 looks great and like you we'll change from an SE to an SE 2020.

Now I really dislike that site (web-page). It appears to me to be built for a mobile, using swipe to view, but on a desktop or laptop it just requires excessive scrolling. It scrolls to fast and you miss some content or to slowly and it get's frustrating. Using my mouse wheel to scroll is painfully repetative. Out of 10 I'd give it 1!
