    Default Property listing design/software

    Hi All

I hope you are all well.

I want to integrate property listings on my current web site.

Does anyone have any software recommendations for listings on my website to display property for sale, or any template(s) they can share or how If I created a second site I could integrate it behind a place holder or a navbar button that would take the visitor to the site to property listings/for sale.

Im looking for something that I can manage the listings myself, I'm trying not to go through a long winded process of designing this myself, as I'm not the fastest at designing.

    Many thanks in anticipation..

Great bunch of people on here who help out.

    Kind Regards Dave

Can't help you with software, but you can most definitely create a separate site and have the two run seamlessly together.

This is the structure of how I did it with 3 separate sites:
Create 3 different sites in Xara, each with a link in the menu/navbar to the others. In my case it was Music, Art and Liqueur (don't ask). Save each as standalone .web/.xar.
Upload one (say Music) as you would normally - ftp.blahblah/public_html
Upload the others to the same place BUT public_html/art and public_html/liqueur

Your menu would have the links https:/blahblah/art, https:/blahblah/liqueur and https:/blahblah/music (plus any others of course).

    I hope that made sense.

    Hi Chris

thanks that is great, I also opened a themed site in Xara ie coffee shop & then created a link from the NavBar & copied pages from the Coffee shop & added them to my site that way, still working on it.

Doing it your way, can you do as you described with just one domain name or you have to register more domains., or just the different website names?

As I don't have direct access to my hosting via one & one I just upload my site site with the ftp details password etc.

    Many Thanks

    Dave

A quick search would give you several 'white label' property listing platforms you could look at e.g. https://propertywebbuilder.com/ & https://www.rockend.com/product/prop...ting-software; there are likely many more.

Build you own 'wrap-around' site, styles and colours to match and embed your third party property listing portal (in a placeholder) on your main site, or create a Navbar link to it.

No need for extra domain names, and you can upload directly from Xara using the exact same credentials, you just change the 'Sub-Folder (Optional)' bit. I don't use templates, but see know reason why that would change anything.

    Hi Chris
Thanks that is really interesting I didn't know this was possible!

So you obviously have to keep the same Domain name as the main site, other than that looks like it's a go & change the sub folder.

Again I appreciate your help, what a great community on here!

    Hi Gary
Thanks for your reply & the info' I will take a look this morning to see how that software looks.

I have downloaded a Xara template & copying the pages I want into my existing site & modifying them but is quite long winded.

I would do all from the Navbar I think would be best.

    Appreciate your reply, thanks again!

    Hi Gary
I'm not quite sure how to integrate the software into the site once I customise it.

It certainly looks good on the face of it.

Why don't you have direct access? As a one & one customer myself, I generally use filezilla, but I'm sure there's a tool on the admin part of your account that allows access to your webspace.

I'm curious about your property listing ambitions - it makes me wonder how many properties you wish to list.

I ask because most people look for properties using some form of search criteria to narrow the results down, so I wonder how you plan to do that without using a third-party system. Also many people use aggregator property search sites that will search for properties across multiple vendors/sellers, so there's a danger that your properties would be invisible to sites like that.

    Hi Paul
I don't have the log-in details to one & one as i do it through a client as we do a deal with taxes on his land plots & he hosts my site & domain each year.

I'm not sure how many properties I will list yet as I also do specific property acquisition & other property related services.

In terms of search I also list via third party web portals as they have so much more knowledge & power than my site would have, & I also market property in Romania & specialise abit in Ro & UK property deals.

You are correct for sure about search, as above I can't compete with the big property portals!

My site is more to provide detailed info' once I get an enquiry from a web portal, it's way above me technically!

    Thanks for your comments.

    Cheers Dave
