I am using a Xara template (wide/responsive) and the main image in the template is black and white. If I bring a color photo in, it changes to black and white. How do I change that "color space" so my photo stays color?

Not sure. If you select the photo with the Photo Tool does it show -100% Saturation on the Infobar settings? If so, change the setting to 0.

Saturation is set to 0. Even changing it to 100% has no effect. It has to be some setting in the template. The original photo included in the template shows as color in the Bitmap gallery, as well as my replacement photo, but dragging it in, or any color photo, makes it black and white.
Is this Vicki? Been so long (my brain is totally mush). There must be something hard wired into the template. I was not able to find the template. Is there a more specific name for the template? And what version of Web Designer?

I can't find a template under that name either. If you select the image does it have dark & light contone values set?
