in xara where you set the bitmap editor there is a dropdown menu default automatic

Got it - Utilities > Options > Photo Editing > Editing Bitmaps.

@behzad - Now I have done it and restarted my Xara Desktop application, it all works interactively: in Xara, simply double-click, edit and save in Affinity!
