I was stationed in Korea and remember thinking that night that there were people up there on the moon.

For those who lived through it, if you recall a very fuzzy, barely clear image of the moon landing on TV. I recently learned that the film was recorded and sent to Earth perfectly clear, like film shot anywhere on Earth. The networks used an incompatible system to air it, and why the film was so fuzzy on TV. Yet most of that original film is missing and the only version of it existing today is the fuzzy airing by the networks. Too bad.
That's interesting information, Gameprinter.
Shame that the original is missing.
Though, if it was available, that would only add fuel on the fire of those who still believe that the Moon Landing was a fake.
They would only say that the clarity only proves that it was all filmed in a studio.

I can remember watching the landing at 04:00 (approx) in the UK. I had to catch a train at 09:00 to join my ship later that day. It was a memory I'll never forget.
50 years! Where have they gone?

thanks for that, a good summation
never watched it live myself but I remember the aftermath... so, a waving flag means there is a breeze and it was taken on earth - nothing then to do with expansion and contraction of material on the moon with the sun on one side and deep space on the other.... etc etc etc
an incredible team effort an NASA's part, with the technology they had
