Software will NOT download!

restart your computer

run the installer in admin mode

do not turn off the firewall or av

did you purchase this from magix/xara

edit - in the link acorn posted that xara recommend turing off registry protection software - that is not the same thing as firewall or av, although some may have registry protection functions and those can be disabled, but never a good idea to disable everything

It could be it's waiting for the files to download before beginning the install and you're stopping it by thinking it's installing.

My thought process is that it's a web installer (I can't remember if it is or not, and it was only 6 months ago when I did it). They are also churning out the updates, not sure of the size of that as mine blankly refuses to update.

i think they are all [xara designer and WD downloads] web installers now

of late it seems there are always issues when [major] updates come out...
