Here's our company's press release for Tree Forestry for those working with nature. Those working with 3D terrain modelers like Terragen, Bryce or Vue de Espirit may want to download some of the texture examples aw well (see the Tree Examples link of the front page).

DigArts Software’s newest innovation does for tree trunks and branches what
Jungle 3D does for foliage.

Tree Forestry is a new set of Painter tools that paint over forty different
species of tree trunks, limbs and branches. These pattern tools actually
paint dimensional, fully textured trunks, branches, splits and barks with a
simple brush stroke. What’s more, they’re scalable. The bark textures even
conform to the direction of the artist’s brush stroke.

For artists and illustrators working with nature, painting trees has never
been easier. Tree Forestry fits the final piece to the tree puzzle. It
lets artists paint realistic trunk and branching systems with the same ease
and speed that Jungle 3D paints complex foliage structures. When used
together, artists can create highly dimensional trees and foliage on screen
in just minutes.

Tree Forestry contains over 200 trunk, branch and hollow patterns as well as
paper textures, brushes and other goodies. The unique branching patterns
paint complex limb and twig structures with unparalleled ease, even in the
smallest sizes. The splits and hollows patterns add lifelike defects to
most any trunk or limb, and with a single brush stroke.

For the month of January, Tree Forestry and Jungle 3D are available at a $30
savings through DigArts "made for each other" bundle ($109.95 regularly
69.95 each). Tree Forestry is available separately for $69.95 (requires
Painter 6 or 7).
