Error with Optimizing All images feature

Error with Optimizing All images feature. This only happens when I use the full screen slider by Xara.

The file is clients work and over 15M. I tried it with other client sites without that slider but only happens when the slider is used. DO you want me to send over the whole site?

Anything to reproduce the problem should be fine, if it's just the slider causing the issue that should do.

Just continuing on this feature. When is the best time to do this for the whole site? Also if done throughout web development a few times, does it degrade the already images considering jpg files do degrade quality wise.
