I frequently audition fonts when I am working. And it would be really helpful to scroll to the last font used selected. I know that the font appears at the top area of the list but then to continue I have to locate where I left off.

Gary, there is a perverse way of doing this with your text.
Clone a sample to a new page that is black and change the font colour to white then select all the text.
Open the Fonts Gallery and double-click or select and Apply any installed Font.
Not as slick as scrolling through the Font picker but it does retain the last used font.

The last used, yes, but it already does this at the top of the font menu. Plus if you have a document with several fonts, those all appear at the top of the fonts menu.
What I am asking is to return to the last font used in the overall list of fonts. So, if I picked Overlock, then the next time I returned to the fonts menu it would return to Overlock in the Os section.
Frequently there are different styles, for example Overlock SC, which if I picked Overlock, would not appear at the top of the fonts menu.
