I think it would depend on how close/far away the light source is AND what is casting the light, i.e. a window or a lamp. How intense is the light?

OK Ron, I'll amend my other statement about shadows, The Darkest would be where the legs of the table touch the floor after that I believe they would stay relatively sharp and get lighter but not much ,and more blurred, the further away from the casting object they get. I do not believe the light source would have much to do with it although it might. Careful observation would be in order. It would also depend on how close the casting object is to the surface being cast on.
Ah well, so much to ponder.
