hi
i need help on circular text.
i know how to use "arc" to do circular text, but I want it "anti-clockwise" instead. I don't want to chooce "arc lower" as the font changes to an awkward shape.
anyone can help.
thanks.

hmmmm looks like you found the text tool after all http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
I'll try to look into it. Normally, for fancy text manipulations I'd do my lettering in a vector application like XaraX, or Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator then export it as an EPS file.
you could do the text in an arc and then rotate the layer.
select your text layer
then goto edit> transform
I'd then use the rotate command or go further down and use rotate by 90degrees or rotate by 180 degrees.
and then you click on accept transformation.
Hope that helps

if you just select rotate, you can customize the degree of rotation

anyone knows how to create text in other shape other than circular? i mean maybe square, oval etc...
thanks.
hi seasonablue,
Sorry for adding more confusion.
yes all of the rotating layer stuff can be done in photoshop.
there are actually more shapes further down the list for shaping.

One thing you can always do is open a new file and create each letter of the word individually. Mix the sizes, fonts and use the free transform and distort tool to make any shape you want. When your done do a copy merge and copy it into your work.
Just messing around.
