Cannot view published site - images blocked?

Hi all,
I’ve put the site up, even though I’ve spotted a couple of things. It’s almost there. But it’s taking too long to load on both safari, Firefox... Can you spot anything? Should the header and footer banners be on the background? I optimised the images. Still taking too long. Galleries created from Content gallery seem particularly slow. All advice welcome.
What can I change?
