Ligatures and Glyphs with new designer X Update

To be honest I have not given it a log of thought and most headlines would not use ligatures for display type unless it was to provide a vintage look to the typography.

But there are times when you might want to use certain ligatures but not all and I could see the use of being able to say well this ligature could work well here.

At any rate something more visual than an all or nothing on/off approach.
