2. kerning info from the fonts is still ignored

3. no cmyk output except eps

4. slowdowns caused by the new features

5. could you remember the show printer color settings in the menu?

6. antialiasing should be selectable per object

7. bitmap antialiasing sometimes doesn´t work well

8. bugs & crashes appear especially if you combine the use of the new functions like bevelling a clipped object...

9. xara rules & is still the fastest grafic app [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]

10. as a professional designer i would really like to see somme more cmyk stuff & better handling of type

12. bitmap effects / trace bitmap preview window must be sizeable and zoomable because with a big bitmap the preview is worthless..

There may be some news shortly relating to this

Some of the new features are more complex than older features and are necessarily slower, the older features performances have not been compromised.

Under what circumstances?

These have been fixed and will appear in the next beta/release version

This is absolutely what we were hoping bevels would be used for, magnificient!
You might find that you get even better results with rounded bevels by using a 30 degree light elevation for smooth colour transitions.

--- it outputs really complex code. maybe some layermodel would help. a layer for bitmap and a layer for type and vector art. that´s actually the way i create layouts for print. i export the bitmap stuff & then the pure vector stuff as ai.
in illustrator i check & change color values. then the servicebuerau gets a quark-file with cmyk-tif & overlying illustrator eps...
lots of work. but i like the ease and speed and display-quality of xara.

--- in xara2 there are many unique features (bitmap handling...) and nothing is slowing it down. sometimes i do a 2m x 2m canvas and put 10 or more pages layout on it. very cool.

--- i created aa before by exporting at 800 dpi and downsampling to 500. when i tried your new export i recognized visible worse quality sometimes. some jaggies were gone with downsampling later but not with exporting directly to the desired res.
