    pgd6 Open Files Tab

    Morning,

Recently my hard drive crashed and I had to reinstall everything. When I did, I noticed one thing missing. Below the toolbar, there were tabs that showed what files I had open. It made it very easy to swap between open files. When I reinstalled, they are not there. Am I missing where I can turn it on? I've looked through the Options but I must be missing it.

The version I'm using is Photo & Graphic Designer 6 (yes, I know I should upgrade, but it was working before the crash).

Thanks. Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you for the quick reply. However that option is not listed. It shows all my open documents, but no way to show all the documents in tabs.

K under the top menu bar " File Edit Arrange Insert Utilities Share Window Help" are you saying you don't have "Show Document Tabs" below the Window option?

Correct. Attached is what I have. And evidently I do not have the "Insert" and "Share" menu items.

This is probably down to your earlier Xara version, but I can't understand how you had tabs earlier but there's no menu item to toggle them back on now. I don't have PDG6, perhaps someone with it can advise?

What happens if you select "Reset Current Attributes" (Be aware though this may reset other items)

Kato, not a solution, but for your example screenshot, you can use Hot Keys, Alt+W+1, Alt+W+2, Alt+W+3.
You might find Ctrl+Shift+F6 cycles through the open files.

Also have a look in Help > Search: Window menu and see if there is any mention of "Show Document Tabs" there; later products have a Hot Key Alt+W+T but your's looks as if this will activate Control Bars...

.... checked... tabs came in in version 7 of PGD; they are not in PGD 6 when installed, although that said they may have been introduced by an update... I can't check that as I can only install trial version of 6 and trial versions do not update
