    Frances,

I am having a hard time understanding how you did the clip view to make a brush. Have ever shown this in one of your videos?

@Ray: it is really the same principal as making a seamless tile but in this case you only need it to repeat horizontally. I don't think I've featured this in any brushes videos, I'll put something together when I have time (it may be a day or two)

Ok here is a quick video showing how I use a clipview to create repeating artbrushes

Thanks Angelize, very instructive. I have not made an artbrush yet and feel motivated to try my hand at it now. I notice there is a small gap where the brush image repeats itself. Is that because of the clipview or are the objects that are positioned at the edge not lined up correctly, despite the exact nudge size setting?

Thanks Fances for video, I now understand what you were saying. It makes it quite clear for me to follow.

    Thank you

    Thanks Frances.

I noticed this too. If you watch the video at the point when the Clip View is converted to Editable Shapes the dimensions alter very slightly. I think this is the cause of the gap. I've tried reproducing it but can't at present.

Egg: I think you are right. I can repeat it with my flower graphics but not with any other graphics. I've created repeating brushes this way before but this is the first time I've gotten a gap. I'm going to send my file to Xara Support and see what they say.
