    Default Seamless image showing border

I am trying to create a seamless image. I am having an issue, not in creating the seamless image, but when joining the sides - they are showing lines. (see attached image).

It's almost as if, no matter how much I nudge or snap, I can never create the image without a border. All the elements have been "snapped" together using the "Snap to objects". The snap tool does not seem to snap properly / align properly.

Any suggestions on how to snap objects without any lines / border showing / aligning properly.

Are the edges on whole pixels for the X and Y axis. It will also need to be whole pixels for the width and height.

To add to what Christine has said, the first screen capture shows the selected object positioned at fractional pixel position, for example 32.5px. Also the size of the selected image is in fractional pixel sizes. This will create an image that has a transparent background with a slight border of the background color (white) and the object.

Make sure the object you are exporting or adding to your web page is located on the page in even pixel amounts and the size is in equal pixel amounts.

If you are exporting an object that will appear over a colored or patterned background, and you are using 256 colors with a transparent background, place the object over the same or similar background or a rectangle containing the background and export. This will blend the object to the background color.

Select only the object, not the background.

For smaller objects, use PNG, True Color + Alpha for a cleaner image.

Also make sure that you have "Scale line width" turned off in the Selector tool infobar when you are snapping/aligning things and, just to be doubly sure that line attributes are not affecting the size of your tiles, mare sure that none of your objects have any line colour.

Note that objects with fractional pixel sizes are not a problem in themselves. They will snap together accurately but when an object has fractional pixel positions Designer's rendering system will sometimes pick up a little bit of the colour behind an object and mix it into the edge of the object. This is a technicality of the fast anti-aliasing method that we use.
