Hi, I was wondering how Xara works with windows 10? I was considering getting the upgrade to Xara Pro 11 and wondering of it will have problems with windows 10... Any thoughts or experiences? Dave

Good question. My guess is it will work fine. Xara's developers have had access to the Windows 10 beta as developers and I am confident they are on the case.

Hi,
We don't think there are any issues running any of the Designer 11 variants on Windows 10. If any issues do turn up you can rest assured that we will fix them as soon as possible.
Phil
Hope all Xara software will work fine!
Win 10 release date is tomorrow!.
having heard some serious issues regarding the mandatory updates in windows 10 messing things up with third party [eg: nvidia] updates, I am not going to rush into win10 and I am definitely thinking of buying win10 pro which gives some degree of control

I'm not anticipating any problems with xara ver11
Thank You for that info it is very helpful.. Dave
Before installing Windows 10 do you have to first deactivate your copy Xara Designer 11, then do the Windows update and finally reactivate the Designer 11. If so are there any instructions on how to do this?
Thanks
that's what xara say see post #58 here:

if you read the thead it tells you how to do this
basically post #88:

except you would install win10 in between deactivate/activate...

The problem I'm running into is that I just installed XDP11 on my tablet last week, and the website tells me I can't deactivate it until 8/20, but was hoping to upgrade to Win10 tonight. Oh well, if worse comes to worse, I'll just reinstall XDP10 instead for the time being.

I think if you want to deactivate it before the 30 days period you need to do it from the program help
