    Default Wimbledon Font?

Anyone know what this font is?

I've tried the 'What The Font' website, but that didn't help.
    I've looked through my fonts...!

    The key letters are 'C' 'M' 'O' 'S' 'W' 'B'
The reason I mention these letters, is that I have fonts that come close, but those are the letters that differ from any fonts I have.

Jose Campoy might have found it. He thinks it's Gotham.
That's about as close as I've got, without someone knowing the exact name.

    Thanks, Jose.

No, it's NOT Optima - Unless it's an odd variant, the standard Optima isn't even close.

The problem is the font in the Picture identified as Optima, is not the same font as the picture Rik supplied.

I'd go with the "Gotham Bold" it looks really close.

If you don't own Gotham, and really don't need it to be exact "Monserrat" is a really close freebie - The "B" is a little different. It is a Google Web Font, but the download link gives more variants. SEMI-BOLD looks close.

Thanks for the help and suggestions, guys.
But, Gotham is still the closest.

zaphodeist: The logo link in your post is for an old logo, I think.

Not Optima that's for sure but it was Optima on the example on DaFont.

    It's not Optima nor Gotham.

    It's Gill Sans Bold.

Tobias Frere-Jones created the Gotham family, probably not as old as the Wimbledon logo, dates back to 2000 (A.D.), commissioned by GQ Magazine. Used since in the Obama campaigns, perhaps the first US Presidential campaign to have an official font.

Up until a few years ago, Wimbledon did use Optima for both the logo text and the Wimbledon name on their printed programs. The suggestion on Dafont was correct at the time as Rik notes.

    It is Gotham, btw.

Okay, to everyone who guessed Gotham, you win, and I lose with my guess of Gill Sans. Here, you can see that the characters in Gill are identical to those in Gotham, with the notable exception that the counters in the "B" are wider.

BTW, Magix used Gotham for Xara logos.

And the titles to 2001: A Space Odyssey were done in Gill Sans.

So you can see why I confused the two.

The one letter that makes it more obvious than the others for me, was the "S"
