Very interesting.
My son has been to one of the places but didn't do the skywalk.
I've been to two .... The CN Tower in Toronto and The Grand Canyon, Didn't do the skywalk in either. Guts of .... Well, lets just say they're still attached ....

I was a security guard 20 years ago working at a silica sand plant. There is a 100 foot tower adjacent to a 60 foot tower, and there's a walkway connecting these two towers at a pretty healthy steep angle. The floor of the walkway is metal grating, and the sides are chain-link fence, I walked about half way between the 2 towers when a strong wind seemed to lift the walkway and I got paranoid and came back. I have an odd attraction to heights. I've been to the walk-out glass box at the Sears Tower in Chicago so you can walk out past the building's edge in a glass box looking down. I'm sure I'd be more than willing to check out any skywalk I happened to be around.
The CN Tower has a glass floor in the observation deck (1122 ft above the ground), it can probably stand to have a car parked on it, and I couldn't bring myself to walk on it. Scared the hell out of me!
